This week kicks off with quite a day of celebration at The Huddle Sports Bar, where Steve and Tracy Quick are celebrating their 4th year in Neighborhood Bar Business,
                                                         AND Steve's Birthday! The Huddle is where it all began for me as I sat in cool comfort earlier this summer drinking a beer and  planning the Five and Dive. In retrospect, it might have helped to step outside and remind myself how HOT it could be to ride a bike this time of year. Still - it seemed like a very cool idea, and with the second beer, the Tour was launched. 

 

First there was the photo shoot which started at 5am on a weekend morning outside The Huddle, and proceeded with my first ever Harley Ride out to Roosevelt Lakes Resort which is not only a great ride on a BIKE , but a good place for Breakfast or happy hour appetizers as you watch the ducks waddle by.

 

This weekend is also the BIG Toy Run on Saturday, Aug 21 with registration at Hog Haven

 

from 8 - 9:30 with a poker run to follow. Hosted by The American Legion Post 4 Globe and the Post 4 Legion Riders, this event is an annual affair called " Christmas Toy Run in August".  The ride will wrap around to Boston's Lakehouse Grill and Butcher Hook and end up at The Legion on Broad Street for a charity auction, food and music!

 

The FIVE and DIVE will wrap up on the 18th out at the Gila County Fair, where we will be hosting the BAND "Slightly Right" - alittle country/alittle Rock N Roll. http://www.gmteconnect.com/Gila-County-Fair-2010.html.

The Band will share the stage with the Chris and Ruben Show and there will be live music from 4 - 8:30 pm. 

The Lyons Club will be selling Beer, and Globe Miami Times will set up a photo booth for BIKERS to get a portrait from 'fullcircle photoworks."  This is FREE with A TOUR card, and just $10/$15 for a 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 that day only.

 

 

This week we will also be putting up PAGES with all our participating sponsors and hope you'll stop in this FALL if you didn't make it during the HEAT of Summer, to enjoy their hospitality.
