Step into Pretty Patty Lou's, located at the south end of the downtown Globe Historic District at 551 South Broad Street, and you'll take a step back in time. Childhood memories from growing up in small town America are the "old things" that fill this unique shop- trinkets, jewelry, linens and special finds from an easier and much simpler era. Now zoom to present day if you will, and the "new finds" that fill the other niche at Pretty Patty Lou's- unique women's clothing, gorgeous jewelry, handbags, and accessories that leave little to the imagination.

New and old, just about everything in Pretty Patty Lou's has a story. Patty graduated with a textiles and clothing degree from ASU and spent a number of years in retail before opening her store in 2002 with husband, Dick"Doc" Dodd, a Globe native. And Doc is always ready to share his stories about growing up in Globe- the copper mining mecca of yesteryear and how things"used to be. It is this blend of old and new; yesterday and today, that creates this treasure tucked away in Globe, Az.






 











The unique room-to-room layout takes you through cherished memories from childhood intertwined with the worldly goods, prized possessions, and beautiful clothing most wanted in grown-up life. It's an eclectic mix that successfully blends old and new- memories intertwined with reality. Here, at Pretty Patty Lou's you might find a vintage picnic basket stocked with mel Mac@ dishes, and the latest lotions and potions from Burt's Bees and soaps from Primal Elements@.  Or a Schwinn@ bicycle arranged with stylish peddle-pushers from Focus@. You never know quite what your're going to find in the store, but as Patty says, "That's the fun of it!"   

On buying trips, Patty and Doc search out unique clothing and
accessory lines that you don't see anywhere else. "We're always looking for new and different lines that will appeal to our customers," says Patty. "When customer come back and remark about how much they enjoyed wearing something, it makes all the had work worthwhile- knowing that it made them feel good. 

Pretty Patty Lou's is a most unique store full of "new" and "old" treasures. It is a store which encourages one to linger. To discover. And it always brings a smile.
