Check out the current Newspaper Clippings mentioning Bullion Plaza

The Museum was first established in 1999, four years after the school was officially closed. Since that time Board members and volunteers have worked hard to establish the facility as a cultural center and museum showcasing the area's rich history of mining and ranching, as well as showcasing the numerous individuals who came from the area and went on to make an impact on local, state and national affairs.

It has been a monumental task to take this grand facility and care for it's needs in terms of maintenance and repairs, as well as build an archive of documents, displays and memorabilia for both current and future generations.
Through the generous donation of time, energy and spirit by many of those who went to Bullion Plaza, came from the Miami area and care passionately about the mission of the
Bullion Plaza Cultural Museum....today, it is a reality.

We hope you will make it a point to stop in and see what we've accomplished and say hello.

This Spring will see the culmination of many months of hard work by our board members and volunteers and executive director as we complete a "FACELIFT" to the first floor lobby which involved painting every square inch, and making repairs, and enlarging/enhancing displays.

On Going Projects:

This summer we are re-designing the McKusick Tile Studio Exhibit

The McKusicks are nationally recognized for their custom ceramic tiles.

They have lived in the area for nearly 50 years and have provided the museum with a lifetime collection

of tiles, correspondence, articles, photos and more, reflecting their work.

An article in 1967  Desert Magazine talked about "Doing it the Old Way"

The room is being re-painted, with new displays and we welcome visitors to come see us this summer!

We are also excited to announce our new FACEBOOK page, and hope you will become a fan of Bullion Plaza and let us know how we're doing?
We welcome suggestions, donations and contributions to the Museum's mission!
