A one-woman show featuring art by Mary Kent Bailey will be in the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts alcove during the month of October. Mary’s interest in art began as a child and continues to this day. Her representations and sales include galleries in Tucson, Santa Fe, and Fairbanks, AK. She was recently included in the “Best and Brightest” show at the Scottsdale Artists School and had one-woman shows at the Copper Mine Picture Café in Miami. Mary was instrumental in creating the Wednesday Drawing Group at the Center for the Arts which continues and allows artists to practice their drawing skills with live models. She currently works almost exclusively with oils with many paintings of the southwest and in the Globe area. For more information call the Center, 928-425-0884.
