The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts presents the work of Johnny E. DeHart in the main gallery during the month of November. Johnny is Kiowa and Arapahoe and a native of Oklahoma. He has lived in Arizona since 1983 and currently resides in Globe. Johnny's primary work is pencil and oil focusing on scenes of his Native American heritage but he also enjoys painting wildlife and western scenes. He calls on his heritage for attention to detail, especially when his drawings involve his ancestors. He gets inspiration from western artists such as Frederic Remington and Charles Russell.
Johnny will have many pieces of his art available for purchase during this exhibit.
An artists' reception for Johnny DeHart and Jeri Warner will take place from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
