Event Details: Get out your best hat and finest dress! It's time to strut your stuff on Broad Street for this year's Easter Parade.  This is a fun event for participants and observers.
Remember the film "Easter Parade" with Fred Astaire and Judy Garland? If you need some ideas for your hat or dress, watch this 1948 movie - available at your local moviegallery - and get started on your outfit. There is much pomp and circumstance - and general frivolity with this event including the semi-serious judging of categories from Best Hat to most unusual ?? The event begins at 9am at the Depot where the judging takes place and then the entire troupe of well-dressed men,women and children stroll the entire length of Broad Street while Irving Berlin's music plays over the loud speaker. It's a great event for photographers, locals, and visitors who want to enjoy a truly small-town event. (Can you imagine anything like this happening in Phoenix? I think not!)
